Timothée Chalamet’s excuse for missing Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday party is not a complete unknown.
The actor was absent from his girlfriend Kylie Jenner’s mom’s star-studded bash on Saturday because he was busy “filming two huge projects.”
A source told Us Weekly on Wednesday that Chalamet, 29, and Kylie, 28, still manage to “FaceTime every day” while he’s on the “Dune: Part Three” set.
The insider insisted “everything is going well” for the couple, who have been together since 2023.
“Kylie respects that he is working really hard right now and having a huge moment in his career,” the outlet claimed.
The source noted that since Chalamet and the “Kardashians” star “don’t spend every day together … it makes their time together feel more special.”
The insider added that Kylie “doesn’t mind” keeping her romance with the Oscar nominee “private” as they are “very serious” about their love.
“Everyone adores them together and he has even been present in the kids’ lives, which makes Kylie so happy,” the individual added, referencing Kylie’s daughter Stormi, 7, and son Aire, 3, with ex Travis Scott.
People similarly reported on Tuesday that the duo is still “going strong” despite Chalamet’s headline-making absence at the James Bond-themed bash over the weekend, which sparked split rumors.
The outlet previously alleged in August that the couple were “making it work” despite the “Call Me By Your Name” star’s “grueling” schedule with “very little downtime.”
A source clarified, “They miss each other and are totally fine.”
Kylie squashed breakup speculation herself on Tuesday by making a subtle social media move after the Daily Mail reported “trouble in paradise.”
The Kylie Cosmetics creator “liked” Chalamet’s most recent Instagram post promoting his upcoming film “Marty Supreme.”
Kylie only began following her partner on the social media platform in July — and while Chalamet did not return the favor, the Golden Globe nominee doesn’t follow anybody on the app.
He and the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum also made their red carpet debut earlier this year.
Despite the pair keeping their romance primarily under wraps, Chalamet did hint at their next steps in a Vogue interview, published last week.
The “A Complete Unknown” star confirmed having children “could be on the radar,” dissing the “bleak” mindset of staying kid-free to have “time … to do other stuff.”
Chalamet did not talk about Kylie directly in the profile, insisting this was not done out of “any fear” but because he didn’t “have anything to say.”
