At the star-studded Art+Film Gala at the LA County Museum of Art, celebrities and influencers in the art world kept a close watch on the Dodgers game, just as much as on the speakers.
A source at the Saturday night event remarked, “All of Hollywood was glued to the Dodgers game during the gala,” with notable guests such as Leonardo DiCaprio seated with Disney chief Bob Iger, along with Cynthia Erivo, Kaia Gerber, Cindy Crawford, Demi Moore, Demi Lovato, Dustin Hoffman, and more.
During the thrilling Game 7, cheers erupted in the room that some mistook for the arrival of food, only to find the Dodgers had scored!
The excitement peaked when the Dodgers clinched their second consecutive World Series title in extra innings.
Michael Govan, the museum’s CEO and Wallis Annenberg Director, reportedly shouted from the stage, “Go Dodgers!”
Presented by Gucci, the event raised an impressive $6.8 million for the museum.
“Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler was honored during the evening alongside artist Mary Corse.
Co-chaired by Eva Chow and DiCaprio, the gala featured a performance by Doja Cat, with a menu designed by chef David Shim from Cote.
The crowd included a diverse mix of artists, executives, film legends, TV icons, pop stars, and influencers, such as Mark Bradford, James Turrell, George Lucas, Baz Luhrmann, Angela Bassett, Lorde, Tessa Thompson, “Wicked” director Jon M. Chu, Alix Earle, Paris Hilton, Elle Fanning, Salma Hayek, Joel Edgerton, Kerry Washington, Casey Wasserman, and many others.
